Jean-Joseph Sanfourche : la diffusion de son oeuvre.

 

Sanfourche a participé à près de cent cinquante expositions collectives, et à une centaine d'expositions individuelles.

En France, dans les années 60, il participe  : au Salon de la Jeune Peinture, au Salon des Surindépendants. Dans les années 70, les galeristes Altmann et Bourbonnais l'exposent respectivement à Nice et à Paris (Atelier Jacob). En 1978, il est invité à présenter ses pierres peintes au Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (exposition Des Singuliers de l'Art ... aux Habitants Paysagistes), puis les émaux réalisés en collaboration au Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
A Lausanne (Suisse), Michel Thévoz et son adjointe  Geneviève Roulin assurent sa promotion dans le cadre d'expositions des artistes apparentés, selon Dubuffet, à l'art brut, et regroupés sous le terme de  Neuve Invention. Diverses manifestations ont lieu dans les cantons suisses, dans les années 80 et 90, ainsi qu'aux Etats Unis.

A Castellanza, près de Milan (Italie), le peintre et galeriste Enzo Pagani l'expose régulièrement à partir de 1984. Il lui assure une présence très importante en Italie. En 1990, Sanfourche fait son entrée au Site de la Création Franche ( Bègles), puis chez Jacques Karamanoukian, dans sa galerie du Michigan ( USA).

Ses expositions en Limousin, seront nombreuses. Elles commencent par une première rétrospective, à l'abbaye de Solignac (1980). Elles se poursuivent dans le cadre du FRAC, puis du FAC.LIM. Dès 1990, Jean-Claude Hyvernaud le présente Galerie Artset, et Luis Marcel à Roanne, puis plus tard,  à Hauterives. D'autres galeristes vont s'intéresser à son travail, notamment Jean-Pierre Ritsch-Fisch, à Strasbourg, et Petitjean à Aix-en-Provence.

Dans les années 2000, son oeuvre fera l'objet d'une rétrospective de sept mois organisée par la Ville de Limoges. Sanfourche participera aussi à l'exposition Les Singuliers de l'Art, organisée à la Halle Saint-Pierre (Paris), avec le concours de Laurent Danchin.

Nombreux sont ses travaux conservés par les musées : à Laval (Mayenne), le Musée du Vieux Chateau; à Nice (Alpes Maritimes), le Musée International d'Art Naïf Anatole Jakovsky; aux sables d'Olonne (Vendée), l'Abbaye Sainte-Croix; à Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes), le Musée Rimbaud; à Bègles (Gironde), le Musée de la Création Franche, ainsi que les musées municipaux de Reims, Lyon, Marseille, Limoges ...ou encore le musée associatif d'Arts Singuliers Fernand Michel, à Montpellier, ou le Musée d'Art Moderne de Chicago( USA). Certaines oeuvres sont des dons ou des prêts  de collectionneurs. Ainsi la collection Claude Massé est elle conservée à Bègles, celle de Gérard Elléna à Nice, celle de Guy Joussemet,  chez les Impatients , à Montréal (Canada).

Jean-Joseph Sanfourche : the diffusion of his work.

Sanfourche had participated to one hundred and fifty collective exhibitions and about a hundred of private exhibitions.

In france, during the sixties, he participate : to the Salon of the Young Painting, to the Salon of the Surindépendants. During the seventies, the gallery owners Altmann and Bourbonnais exhibit his work respectively in Nice and Paris (Atelier Jacob). In 1978, he is invited to present his painting stones at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris (exhibition Des singuliers de l'Art ... aux Habitants Paysagistes), and then enamels done in collaboration, at the museum of Arts Décoratifs.

In Lausanne (Switzerland), Michel Thévoz with his collaborator Geneviève Roulin, works steadily on his promotion within the exhibition of the  artists related to the art brut, according to Dubuffet, who had reunited in a group christened Neuve invention. A series of events take place in the different districts of Switzerland and the United States  as well between the years 80 and 90.

In 1990, Sanfourche makes his entry into the Site de la Création Franche (Bègles), and some years latter, at Jacques Karamanoukian's gallery, in Michigan (USA).

His exhibitions in Limousin will be many : they start with the first retrospective at the Solignac Abbey, and go on with associations such FRAC, then FAC.LIM. As soon as 1990, Jean-Claude Hyvernaud introduces him to the gallery Artset in Limoges, then Luis Marcel in Roannes, and latterly in Hauterives. He also triggers the interest of many gallery owners, among them Jean-Pierre Ritsch-Fisch in Strasbourg, and Petitjean in Aix-en-Provence.

In 2003, the city of Limoges organizes a seven month retrospective of his art work. More over he was also going to participate in the exhibition Les Singuliers de l'Art, organized at La Halle Saint-Pierre, in Paris, by Laurent Danchin.

The museums which have conserved the work of Sanfourche are many. Among them, one must mention : in the city of :

- Laval, the Museum of the Old Castel ( Musée du Vieux Château),                                                     

-Nice, the International Muséeum of Naive Art,

-Sables d'Ollone, the Meuseum of Saint-Croix Abbaye,

-Charleville-Mézières, the Rimbaud Museum.

There is city museum gardian of pieces of Sanfourche art works in Reims, Lyon, Marseille, Limoges ... We must also mention the new Museum of Singular Art Fernand Michel in Montpellier, and the Chicago Museum of Modern Art (USA). Somme of the pieces of art are gift from collectors like the collection Claude Massé in the museum of Bègles, or the one of Gérard Elléna, in Nice.

Sanfourche ha partecipato a circa centocinquanta mostre collecttive e ad un centinaio di mostre singole.

In Francia, negli anni'60, Sanfourche partecipa al Salon de la Jeune Peinture, al Salon des Surindependants. Negli anni'70, i titolari di gallerie d'arte Altmann e Bourbonnais espongono le sue opere rispettivamente a Nizza e Parigi (Atelier Jacob). Nel 1978, è invitato a presentare le sue pietre dipinte al Museo d'arte moderna di Parigi (mostra Des Singuliers de l'art ... aux Habitants Paysagistes), poi, al Musée des Arts Décoratifs, presenta glismalti realizzati con altri artisti.

A Losanna (Svizzera), Michel Thévoz e la sua assistente Geneviève Roulin promuovono le opere di Sanfourche nell'ambito delle mostre degli artisti che rappresentano, secondo Dubuffet, l'arte grezza, e indicati con il termine Nuova Invenzione. Diverse manifestazioni si svolgononei cantoni svizzeri, negli anni'80 e'90; e negli Stati Uniti.

A Castellanza, vicino a Milano (Italia), il pittore e titolare di gallerie d'arte Enzo Pagani espone regolarmente le sue opere a partire dal 1984, garantendo cosi all' artista una notevole presenza in Italia. Nel 1990, le opere di Sanfourche sono presentate presso il Site de la Création Franche (Bègle), poi presso Jacques Karamanoukian, nelle sua galleria d'arte del Michigan (USA).

Le mostre nella regione del Limousin saranno numerose e iniziano con la prima retrospettiva presentata nell'abbazia di Solignac (1982). Proseguono nell'ambito del FRAC, quindi del FAC.LIM. A partire dal 1990, Jean-Claude Hyvernaud lo presenta alla Galleria Artset, a Limoges, e Luis Marcel lo presenta a Roanne, poi piu tardi, a Hauterives. Altri titolari gallerie d'arte s'interesseranno al suo lavoro, in particolare Jean-Pierre Ritsch-Fisch, a Strasburgo, e Petijean a Aix-en -Provence.

Nel 2003, la sua opera sarà oggetto di una retrospettiva di sette mesi organizzata dal Comune di Limoges. Sanfourche participerà anche alla mostra Les Singuliers de l'Art organizzata alla Halle Saint-Pierre (Parigi) con il contributo di Laurent Danchin.

Numerose sono le opere dell'artista conservate in diversi musei. Ne citamo qualcuna : a Laval (dipartimento della Mayenne), il Musée du Vieux Château; a Nizza (Alpes-Maritimes), il Musée Internatioanl d'Art Naïf; a Les Sables d'Olonnes (Vandea), l'Abbazia di Sainte-Croix; a Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes), il Museo Rimbaud; a Bègles (Gironda), il Musée de la Création Franche; nonché i musei municipali di Reims, Lione, Marsiglia, Limoges ... oppre il nuovo Atelier Musée d'Art Singulier Fernand Michel, a Montpellier, o il Museo d'arte Moderna di Chicago (USA).
